We are building advanced AI systems powered by high-quality human intelligence. Our Spoken Conversation Understanding Platform processes thousands of live customer service conversations in real time, and its accuracy depends directly on the quality of the data behind it.

We are looking for an English Transcriptionist to join a highly collaborative team transforming complex, sensitive conversational audio into decision-grade data that drives real-time AI behavior. Due to the nature of the data, this role is on-site at our New Jersey office.

Your responsibilities will include:

Build a high-accuracy, secure transcription and annotation workflow that:

  • Meets strict quality, consistency, and linguistic accuracy standards;
  • Scales across large volumes of multi-speaker conversational audio;
  • Maintains data integrity for highly sensitive customer conversations;
  • Produces decision-grade training and evaluation data for AI and NLP systems;
  • Ensures transparency and traceability across transcription, annotation, and quality-control steps;
  • Work day-to-day with project leads and quality reviewers to ensure alignment with transcription rules, annotation standards, and priorities;
  • Own the end-to-end transcription and annotation process for assigned datasets, from initial audio review through final quality checks;
  • Accurately transcribe complex conversational audio containing multiple speakers, accents, dialects, and speech patterns;
  • Identify and correct automatic speech recognition (ASR) errors to improve downstream model performance;
  • Analyze and annotate speaker intent, named entities, keywords, and phrases to support natural language understanding;
  • Perform detailed quality reviews of your own and others’ work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to guidelines;
  • Promptly surface data issues, ambiguities, or rule conflicts to supervisors and contribute to continuous process improvement;
  • Strictly follow all security protocols and procedures required to protect confidential and sensitive data;
  • Work on-site in a secure facility due to the nature of the material.

What we expect from you:

  • Native-level proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong attention to detail with a deep understanding of grammar, spelling, and linguistic nuance;
  • Outstanding listening skills and the patience to interpret ambiguous or unclear speech;
  • Ability to focus for long periods of time while maintaining accuracy and consistency;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to follow, apply, and adapt to complex rule sets;
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision;
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with internet-based tools;
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week (with some flexibility);
  • Ability and willingness to work on-site.

We offer:

  • Direct involvement in building and improving real-world AI and natural language processing systems;
  • Challenging, detail-driven work that develops specialized transcription and annotation expertise;
  • Collaboration with a small, focused, and highly skilled team;
  • Clear guidelines, structured feedback, and defined quality standards;
  • A stable on-site work environment with standard office equipment;
  • Opportunities to grow within AI data operations and language technology roles;
  • A role where precision, reliability, and consistency are essential and valued.
